Why I chose natural and organic products for the CFFormulas™ skin care line
Just as I did when designing the CFF™ facial exercises, I researched everything I could in order to develop a good skin care line that would enhance the beauty of the skin and be compatible with the CFF™ facial exercises.
Testing Many Different Skincare Products
Although I’d purchased lots of different skin care products over the years, I needed to now test all those “high end” products that claimed so much, as well. This was rather easy with the Internet at hand.
I went “wild” purchasing all kinds of facial creams and masques. Every woman’s fantasy and I could make all those purchases a tax write-off! I did not hold back. More than four years in the making and in the end, I’m so very happy to say, I have been able to formulate a skin care line that helps to diminish fine lines, reduce age/sun spots, nourish, rejuvenate and firm-up the skin.
No matter how great a formula “looked” nothing but the freshest, most natural and organic products stood the test of time. I can now offer skin care products that provide all this and at reasonable prices so I can pass the savings onto my customers as well.

A good skin care line does make the skin look better
As I researched the skin care products offered on the market today I kept in mind what a cosmetic surgeon from Canada had to say about over-the-counter skin care products. You can read what Dr. Gore, MD says at the bottom of this blog!
Realizing that non-prescriptive skin care products are literally only by law on the top layers of the skin, I became well aware many of the claims made by the cosmetic companies were exaggerated to say the least. I was determined to develop a natural and organic skin care line. That is, one containing products that nourish the upper layers of the skin.
After all, I do notice that the skin care products I put on my skin make a difference in how my skin looks. I wanted products that not only feel good and are healthy for my skin when consistently used over the years but I also wanted products that are effective in giving the skin that radiant, even and youthful glow, as well.
Since age spots get lighter with every sloughing off of the skin, I also wanted to address this issue of even skin-tone color. How to go about preventing and getting rid of those dreaded sun/brown spots, too?
I tried all the products I thought would give good results
I decided to start my search by trying all of the very expensive lotions and potions offered on the market today, sometimes paying as much as $175 for a “firming” serum, alone. I also tried the less expensive creams … the “good” ones you can purchase in your local drug store. All these products were nice, but to tell the truth, I didn’t see much difference in my skin when using any of them. And ohhhhhhhh … the expense!
Then I tried the specialty creams from Retinol A that eased the lines in my face, but thinned my skin. Yikes! To copper peptides that dried my skin … to wrinkle serums that almost damaged my skin.
Two of the so-called “natural” products actually caused blisters on my lips and the other made my eyes tear-up. I also tried products from famous people who seemed to have gorgeous skin well into their forties and fifties. After awhile I always found that I didn’t like the chemical feel any of these products left on my face and neck. I also tried lots of organic skin care lines that were outrageously expensive and still … I did not see a justification for paying all that money for something that didn’t seem to make much difference.
Now, I do know that it’s important to moisturize my skin as well as using a sun block. I think a good eye cream is also important. I also like the way my skin looks when I use a scrub and then a mask.
I trust my eyes and the feeling I get so I do think this kind of skin care regime is important for looking my best and feeling first-class. So, I continued with my search. I used to make my own cosmetics years ago and I always loved those products the best, but if I didn’t use them in a timely manner, they would grow bacteria on them. What a waste. What to do?
I gave the finalist products to my team of 6 to try for themselves
Over the last year my team of 6 people who also test my facial exercises, now tested the skin care products. I chose those final products from my comprehensive research.
First of all, I made a schedule for them to follow. This way we could establish the most efficient routine that would give the best results using the products in the least amount of time spent. After some “tweaking” around to get it right, we were astonished to see how well these products worked following this regime.
Everyone developed a healthy, dewy-looking skin, a more even skin-tone color, wrinkles that appeared to be less, brown spots that were greatly diminished and a definite freshness that came into all of the participants’ faces, men and women alike.

I have also chosen only those products that I love and use, as well. You will be using masques that literally feed the skin and slough off those dead cells (along with the brown spots), cleansers that won’t dry out your skin and a moisturizer that you can even use around the eyes.
We also found that layering the products was a key factor in giving you incredible results. For example, DMAE is one ingredient used in many of the Carolyn’s Facial Formulas™ skin care products. Since DMAE helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines in the skin, and is known to “instantly” tighten” the skin as well, layering skin care products with DMAE in them will give you a firmer, smoother and therefore younger-looking skin over time. Admit it! We’ve all tried countless products, promoted by scientific types in white coats, touting impressive statistics and fabulous photos, only to discover over and over again that nothing made much difference – except to our bank account!
If you actually read or listen to the "fine print" you’ll discover that the "claims" made by cosmetic manufacturers are very carefully worded, limited to “temporary improvement in the appearance of…” the problem you’re trying to fix. An equally deceptive aspect of cosmetic product claims is that the “science” behind their claims is based on the effects that ingredients have on living cells in test tubes in the lab. However, by law, cosmetics cannot penetrate through your skin (or else they’d be classified as drugs)
